John Carpenter's The Thing

Day 4: John Carpenter's The Thing is the rare remake that surpasses the original. Based on the novella Who Goes There? this sci-fi horror movie was not the box office success the studio hoped for. It was released the same year a friendlier alien connected with audiences. This shape shifting creature did not want to go home. Filled with paranoia the characters fight to survive in their isolated camp with little hope of being rescued.
