Dario Argento's Deep Red (Profondo Rosso)

October is the month when we are all entitled to one good scare. Starting today I'll be posting horror movie posters leading up to Halloween. Kicking off this celebration of horror is Dario Argento's giallo classic Profondo Rosso (Deep Red) starring David Hemmings as a musician caught up in a series of murders. Working with a reporter played by Daria Niccolodi they become possible victims while the killer continues on his/her murderous rampage. Scored by Goblin utilizing a childhood theme to the rock infused sequences this stylish movie has all the elements of a giallo classic. Graphic murders, grand set pieces and a black gloved maniac.
